Custodian III (Sunday - Thursday 10:25 pm to 6:55 am)

Atlanta, Georgia

Perform advanced custodial services and facilitate and/or oversee routine and detailed housekeeping operations to ensure assigned unit/facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. The position will interact on a regular basis with staff, advise and counsel staff, and supervise none.

• Assign and inspect custodial/housekeeping work and related projects/activities to maintain unit/facility cleanliness levels and appearance.
• Perform specialized cleaning operations necessary to ensure unit/facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner.
• Maintain supply inventory necessary to successfully perform routine and detailed custodial services.
• Respond to system-transmitted service requests.
• Transport custodial employees to and from work assignments as necessary.
• Operate and/or maintain assigned power equipment related to custodial services, as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma, GED certificate, or vocational school diploma.
• Three to five years job related experience.
• Ability to follow prescribed instructions, effectively communicate, operate basic computer applications, and work independently and as a member of a team.

• Position is supervisory.
• Does not have any financial responsibilities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive.
• Position is a position of trust.
• No purchasing card required.
• Does not travel.
• No security clearance required.

Job Grade: C3B. Pay Range: $18.90.

Successful candidate must pass a background check.
