Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Your future roleTake on a new challenge and apply your leadership and engineering expertise in a cutting‑edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of our vehicles, directly impacting the quality and reliability of revenue service. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (maintenance technicians, contracted cleaning staff, and cross‑departmental collaborators), develop and implement maintenance schedules, and foster a culture of safety and accountability—and much more.
We’lllook to you for:
- Ensuring vehicle maintenance employees maintain the required level of technical knowledge through on‑the‑job training, re‑training, and re‑certification.
- Monitoring, measuring, and evaluating employees’ work performance to ensure it meets acceptable levels of quality and quantity.
- Establishing priorities and clear work expectations while holding vehicle maintenance employees accountable for quality workmanship.
- Creating effective relationships with managers, peers, subordinates, and clients by displaying conduct that inspires trust, respect, and reflects a shared purpose in achieving organizational goals.
- Collaborating across departments to manage preventive and corrective maintenance plans, emergencies, and events impacting revenue service.
- Developing maintenance plans and shift work schedules to efficiently support revenue service, maintenance assignments, and special events.
- Implementing contingency plans for changes or events impacting planned work, ensuring minimal disruption to revenue service.
- Ensuring proper tracking of parts usage, timely reordering, and maintaining all vehicle systems effectively.
- Accounting for time and materials used to complete work in SES/GSI, ensuring work orders are opened, closed, and recorded accurately.
- Enforcing safety rules, conducting safety risk analyses, and addressing employee safety concerns and issues.
- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent field.
- Experience or understanding of leading teams in a maintenance or operational environment.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
- Familiarity with resource planning, scheduling, and contingency planning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments and with clients.
- Ability to evaluate and monitor employee performance.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management systems such as SES/GSI.
- Understanding of safety protocols and conducting safety risk analysis.
- Analytical skills to review and track performance and equipment data.
- Resilience and adaptability to respond to emergencies and unexpected challenges effectively.
