Title: Floor Technician
Job OverviewThe Floor Technician will safely perform assigned floor care functions based on standards and procedures, including waxing, stripping, buffing, and other contractual duties. The role also includes environmental services as needed and ensures quality and compliance with regulations.
Roles & Responsibilities- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Stop at risk behaviors in others and in self.
- Work with other employees in a team to complete assignments.
- Perform repetitive tasks and maintain a clean work area.
- Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules.
- Take direction and respond to supervision.
- Communicate with lead, supervisor, co‑workers, managers, and customers professionally.
- Fill in during staff shortages, including custodial, recycle, or maintenance duties.
- Support shift lead in completing punch‑list items.
- Use proper personal protective equipment required for assigned tasks.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
- Understand customer service and satisfaction, and reporting systems.
- Operate motorized cleaning equipment and maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: tile, carpet, and brick flooring.
- Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
- Use and maintain equipment properly.
- Always observe safety precautions, using safety signs such as “wet floor.”
- Report safety hazards as appropriate and work without normal supervision.
- No education requirement; 6 months to 1 year of experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license may be required.
- Complete all safety and task training certification.
- Forklift certification may be required.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, compounds, chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
- Willingness to share knowledge with team.
- Knowledge of upkeep and care of cleaning equipment.
- Ability to work independently.

Physical Demands & Work Environment- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Frequent sitting, talking, or listening.

Monday–Friday, 7:00pm–3:30am; $16.00–$17.00 per hour.
