Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Trainee to support the daily operations of our Housekeeping and Laundry team. This trainee role is designed for individuals who already have hands‑on experience and are ready to develop their leadership skills in a structured environment. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing staff, maintaining cleanliness standards, and ensuring efficient laundry operations.
Key Responsibilities- Support the supervision of housekeeping and laundry staff during daily operations
- Assist in coordinating work schedules and task assignments
- Ensure all cleaning and laundry procedures meet company quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels for cleaning supplies and laundry products
- Inspect guest rooms, common areas, and laundry output for cleanliness and quality
- Provide on‑the‑job training and guidance to team members as needed
- Address and resolve minor staff or operational concerns, escalating when appropriate
- Maintain safety, hygiene, and compliance with company policies
- Supervisory experience is required (team lead, shift lead, or similar role)
- Previous experience in housekeeping and laundry operations is required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lead by example and support team performance
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and grow into a supervisory role
- Experience in hospitality, healthcare, or facility services
- Basic knowledge of cleaning standards and laundry equipment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed
- Experience with Self Audits and Forbes Standards
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to [insert weight]
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, physically active environment
This trainee position is intended to prepare the candidate for advancement into a managerial role based on performance and business needs.
The salary range for this position is: $55,000 to $60,000.
