Lead Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• You will provide leadership and guidance to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of nitrogen producing plants at customer sites.
• Assist with and direct training and development of new technicians.
• Solve field site issues and operate air separation plants with minimal supervision.
• Interact with customers across various production plant types, offering guidance, support, and clear communication.
• Maintain safety, quality, and compliance activities at each plant location to uphold high standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibrations on compressors, gas analyzers, and control systems.
• Manage time effectively to complete operations, maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and diagnosing plant problems.
• Coordinate contractors and resources to support plant activities, audits, and administrative requirements while driving efficiency through strategic planning and project management.

• Hold a High School Diploma or equivalent, with post‑secondary technical education or relevant work experience preferred.
• Demonstrate strong practical skills and knowledge of production processes, plant equipment, and emergency procedures.
• Apply expertise in instrumentation, control, mechanical, and electrical maintenance of industrial equipment.
• Exhibit strong safety awareness and strictly follow procedures while troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing equipment.
• Communicate technical information clearly in verbal and written form, understanding process control schematics.
• Utilize proficiency in computers, Microsoft applications, and process control systems, supported by strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Meet physical requirements including confined space entry, climbing, lifting up to fifty pounds, and working at heights.
• Show flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and call‑in coverage, ensuring a reliable and safety‑focused presence during critical operational periods.
