Custodian II; 3rd shift

Job Summary

Perform routine and detailing housekeeping services requiring specialized tools and equipment. The position interacts consistently with other custodial staff and building occupants. No supervisory responsibilities.

• Perform specialized cleaning operations such as spray buffing, burnishing floors, sanitizing trash receptacles, stain removal, window cleaning, etc.
• Strip and refinish floors.
• Perform routine housekeeping services including trash disposal, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting restrooms, restocking supplies, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
• Operate and maintain power equipment (carpet vacuums, canister and tank vacuums, wide-area vacuums, backpack vacuums, spot‑cleaning machines, and other powered equipment).
• Maintain housekeeping and storage closets, as well as tools and equipment, in clean, orderly condition.
• Utilize prescribed safety equipment as required.
• Use chemicals and supplies safely and as prescribed.
• Respond to work requests from building occupants and the department's service request system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma.

Two years of related job experience.

Valid Georgia Driver's License.

Ability to operate specialized cleaning equipment and use cleaning supplies safely and effectively.

$16.38 – $18.93 per hour, depending on experience plus shift differential.
