Job Summary
Perform routine, standardized housekeeping services within assigned building or area. The position interacts on a consistent basis with other custodial staff including Quality Control Inspectors & Supervisors, and building/area occupants. The role does not involve supervisory responsibilities, financial duties, or driving.
Responsibilities- Provide housekeeping services within assigned area, including emptying trash receptacles, dusting, spot cleaning, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, medical and food service care, restocking supplies, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
- Operate and maintain power equipment such as carpet vacuums, canister and tank vacuums, wide‑area vacuums, backpack vacuums, spot cleaning machines, and other powered equipment.
- Maintain housekeeping/storage closets, tools, and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
- Utilize prescribed safety equipment as required.
- Utilize chemicals and supplies in a safe and prescribed manner.
- Respond to work requests from building occupants and the department’s service request system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements: Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience: One year of job‑related experience.
Preferred QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED, or vocational school diploma.
Skills & AbilitiesBasic skills in delivery of housekeeping services including operation of cleaning equipment and use of cleaning supplies.
Other InformationThis is not a supervisory position. The position does not have any financial responsibilities, require a purchase card (P‑Card), or require driving. It is not considered a position of trust. No security clearance is required and the position will not travel.
Job Grade: C1
Pay Range: $17.40/hr
