Job Summary
Perform routine, standardized housekeeping services within assigned building or area. This position will interact on a consistent basis with other custodial staff to include Quality Control Inspectors & Supervisors, building/area occupants.
Responsibilities- Provide housekeeping services within assigned area, including emptying trash receptacles, dusting, spot cleaning, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, medical and food service care, restocking supplies, mopping, sweeping and vacuuming.
- Operate and maintain power equipment such as carpet vacuums, canister and tank vacuums, wide‑area vacuums, backpack vacuums, spot cleaning machines and other powered equipment.
- Maintain housekeeping/storage closets, tools and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
- Utilize prescribed safety equipment as required.
- Utilize chemicals and supplies safely and as prescribed.
- Respond to work requests from building occupants and the department's service request system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year of job‑related experience.
- High school diploma or GED or Vocational School Diploma.
- Basic skills in delivery of housekeeping services including operation of cleaning equipment and use of cleaning supplies.
