Job Summary

  • Performs electronics, electrical and mechanical repairs/corrective maintenance of specialized physiological and life support equipment to assure equipment readiness for department use.
  • Coordinates repairs with vendors as needed.
  • Provides advice and assistance for complex assignments and collaborates routinely with technicians, skilled trades, employees, contractors and hospital administration.
  • Performs scheduled maintenance on all types of specialized medical equipment and systems, adhering to the maintenance schedule for optimal use and dependability.
  • Uses tools and equipment appropriately and efficiently in an effective and safe manner.
  • Maintains and contributes to a safe work environment, adhering to all safety policies, procedures and practices, including the wearing of protective clothing and gear.
  • Models the behaviors embodied in the Essence of GHS and confronts and resolves problems constructively.
  • Participates in open communication and teamwork activities.
  • Delivers on commitments in a high quality and timely fashion, demonstrating pride in the organization.
  • Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree (Technical Diploma) or 2 years of college coursework in the electro‑mechanical field required.
  • 1–2 years of job‑related experience in the commercial industry.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
