Assistant Maintenance Manager

Assistant Maintenance Manager - Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management at Greyhound Lines. Support daily maintenance operations for bus fleets and facilities, coordinating technicians, vendors, and preventive maintenance programs to ensure safe, reliable, and on-time service. Oversee work orders, parts and inventory, and CMMS records while monitoring budgets and asset performance. Partner with the Maintenance Manager to drive safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with operations teams to minimize downtime and uphold Greyhound's standards of customer service, innovation, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance activities for buses and facilities to ensure safety and reliability.
• Supervise and support technicians, assigning work orders and monitoring performance.
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules using CMMS and ensure accurate maintenance records.
• Oversee parts, tools, and inventory to support timely repairs and cost control.
• Collaborate with operations to minimize downtime and support on-time service.
• Ensure compliance with safety, DOT, and environmental regulations.
• Assist with vendor selection, contractor oversight, and service quality monitoring.
• Track maintenance KPIs, budgets, and asset performance and recommend improvements.
• Support training and development of maintenance staff.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with projects, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
