Custodian​/Groundsman EVP - Grady Hospital

Position: Custodian // Groundsman EVP - Grady Hospital (FULL-TIME HOURS) $16 an hr.
In general, Maintenance employees handle the overall appearance of the facility as well as maintain all equipment. Maintenance employees will perform additional duties as assigned as well.

Check maintenance schedule for special projects for the day Sweep all entrances and exits and pick up any trash Walk the facilities picking up trash, checking for burned out lights, record any repair or maintenance problems, empty full trash cans, and report illegal parkers and ticket if necessary May require painting of poles, walls, machines, curbs, lanes and other requests Clean all restrooms in facilities and all stairwells Maintain any other equipment on facilities Clean all oil/water spots as needed Sweep garages regularly Check all ticket spitters and gates to ensure that they are working properly and are properly stocked with tickets and the correct time is on equipment.

Ensure that all machines are kept clean and wiped down from dirt.

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred

Previous maintenance or facilities experience (hospital/healthcare setting a plus)
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or mechanical systems

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

All candidates must successfully pass a background check and drug screening

Must be willing to submit to minor medical screening and annual flu shot for hospital badge requirements. (Employer Paid)
Must be able to work a full-time flexible schedule
