Hours:To comply with child labor laws and our operational needs, expected work hours are as follows:
Applicants Age 18+:
Mondays and Wednesdays 6:30-10:30pm and every other Friday (4:30-8:30pm), every other Saturday (1:30-7pm) and every other Sunday (2-6:30pm)
Applicants Age 16-17:
Mondays and Wednesdays 6:30-9:15pm and every other Friday (4:30-6:15pm), every other Saturday (1:30pm-5:15pm) and every other Sunday (2-5:15pm).
The Bartlett Public Library District is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time Facility Assistant. This position supports the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the library’s facilities by performing routine maintenance, custodial duties, and set-ups to ensure a welcoming environment for staff and patrons.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform custodial and other housekeeping duties, including but not limited to: cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping, removing trash, replenishing supplies, and dusting.
- Maintain safe, clean, sanitary conditions throughout the building and grounds.
- Assist with snow and ice removal when necessary.
- Assist with preparations for special functions by arranging furniture, mounting decorations, and setting up equipment.
- Set up meeting rooms for Library programs.
- Report unusual conditions to management.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 16.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least one (1) year of custodial experience is preferred.
