Maintenance Technician (Full-Time, Entry-Level)

Location: Moraine Court Supportive Living
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift
Sunday-Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Some on-call support for community emergencies may be required.

About the Role

Moraine Court Supportive Living is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This entry-level position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents, families, and staff.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with the overall upkeep of the community, including routine maintenance, minor repairs, drywall and painting projects, floor care, grounds maintenance, and ensuring the building remains in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment

Complete drywall repairs, patching, painting, and touch-up work as needed throughout the community

Assist with preventative maintenance programs and scheduled inspections

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors, common areas, and exterior grounds

Support garbage removal and proper waste disposal procedures

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and community needs

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections

Assist with apartment turnovers and preparation of residences for new move-ins

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and community standards

Participate in on-call coverage and emergency response as needed

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques

Drywall repair and painting experience required

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

Preferred Qualifications

Previous maintenance experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or residential settings

Experience with floor care equipment and basic repair work

Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry work
