Tire Technician

Job Summary

This position is responsible for installing tires on tractors and trailers, mounting and dismounting tires, and managing tire inventory. The role may involve working outdoors, in varying weather conditions, across multiple shifts—including nights and weekends—and overtime. Full‑time attendance is required.

• Install tires on tractors and trailers using company guidelines.
• Observe all company safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
• Keep sets of tires on hand and maintain trailer rack.
• Load defective tires into the trailer for removal.
• Perform tire yard checks on equipment.
• Inspect and mark tires for serviceability or warranty.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and keep tire machines and tools organized and free of defects.
• Organize and maintain daily tire inventory; keep inventory up to date and well stocked.
• Mount and dismount tires on rims using proper safety procedures.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic tools available to perform the role (supplied by employee or via toolbox purchase program).

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 6‑12 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team (no direct supervision).
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to exercise discretion.
• Basic deductive reasoning skills.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.

Starting pay range: $21.64 – $27.71.

Factors affecting pay include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes.

Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates located outside a 50‑mile radius of the job.

This position is not eligible for employment‑based sponsorship.

Applicants can be considered for I, II, or Sr. Level Tire Technician depending on verified years of experience and position availability.
