Position: Custodian (Floater) AM & PM

Position Summary

The Custodian (Floater) is responsible for providing custodial support across multiple facilities and accounts as needed. This role helps maintain coverage during call‑offs, vacations, staffing shortages, special projects, and operational emergencies. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, detail‑oriented, and capable of maintaining Buck Services cleaning standards in a variety of environments.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine custodial and janitorial cleaning services at assigned locations
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize designated areas
  • Clean and restock restrooms and common areas
  • Remove trash and replace liners
  • Maintain cleanliness of entrances, hallways, offices, classrooms, and breakrooms
  • Respond quickly to operational and staffing needs at multiple accounts
  • Follow site‑specific procedures and schedules
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and properly
  • Support special cleaning projects when assigned
  • Report maintenance, safety, or supply concerns to supervisors
  • Maintain professionalism and positive communication with clients and staff
  • Ensure all work meets Buck Services quality standards
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
  • Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
  • Strong attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Flexibility to travel between different job sites
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Requirements & Expected Investment
  • Availability for flexible scheduling including mornings, evenings, and weekends when needed
  • Ability to lift 25–50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work throughout the shift
  • Comfortable working in different environments and locations
  • Ability to pass background screening if required by client sites
