Floor Technician
The Floor Technician will safely perform assigned floor care functions based on established standards and procedures. Responsibilities include waxing, stripping, buffing, and other floor care duties in compliance with regulations.
Roles & Responsibilities- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Stop at‑risk behaviors in others and yourself.
- Work with team members to complete assignments.
- Perform repetitive tasks and maintain a clean work area.
- Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules.
- Take direction and respond to supervision.
- Communicate with lead, supervisor, co‑workers, managers, and customers professionally.
- Fill in during staff shortages (custodial, recycle, or maintenance).
- Support shift lead in completing punch‑list items.
- Use required personal protective equipment for assigned tasks.
- Present a professional appearance and conduct.
- Understand customer service and satisfaction, reporting systems, and environmental considerations.
- Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
- Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors (tile, carpet, brick).
- Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
- Use and maintain equipment properly.
- Operate and maintain equipment safely.
- Observe safety precautions, including wet‑floor signs.
- Work without normal supervision and report safety hazards as appropriate.
- No education requirement.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license may be required.
- Complete all safety and task training certification.
- Forklift certification may be required.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and willingness to share with team.
- Knowledge of equipment upkeep and cleaning compounds and chemicals.
- Safety‑first approach when using cleaning chemicals.

Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentEmployee must lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. The role requires frequent sitting, talking, or listening. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
Compensation and ShiftSunday–Wednesday, 6:00PM–4:30AM. $15.90–$16.80 per hour.
