Responsibilities
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and preventive maintenance on various facility mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, ventilating, and irrigation systems.
  • Install, service, and repair common appliances, electric motors, heaters, coolers, non‑refrigerant components of refrigerators, and fleet motor vehicles.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and test custom parts, valves, and compressors using specialized metal‑fabricating tools, hand tools, power tools, and welding torches.
  • Install, maintain, and repair facility doors, commercial lock systems, and electronic entry interfaces to ensure strict compliance with life safety regulations and manage the shop's master key inventory.
  • Safely operate heavy machinery, snow removal equipment, and specialized trade tools while collaborating on cross‑departmental projects, technical repairs, and required training workshops.
Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of trade school education preferred

Experience:

  • 5 years of mechanical experience
  • Experience in healthcare facility preferred
