Responsibilities- Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and preventive maintenance on various facility mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, ventilating, and irrigation systems.
- Install, service, and repair common appliances, electric motors, heaters, coolers, non‑refrigerant components of refrigerators, and fleet motor vehicles.
- Fabricate, assemble, and test custom parts, valves, and compressors using specialized metal‑fabricating tools, hand tools, power tools, and welding torches.
- Install, maintain, and repair facility doors, commercial lock systems, and electronic entry interfaces to ensure strict compliance with life safety regulations and manage the shop's master key inventory.
- Safely operate heavy machinery, snow removal equipment, and specialized trade tools while collaborating on cross‑departmental projects, technical repairs, and required training workshops.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of trade school education preferred
Experience:
- 5 years of mechanical experience
- Experience in healthcare facility preferred
