Job Responsibilities
- Job is an individual contributor and has no direct reports.
- Clean and stock kitchens and labs, bathrooms, locker rooms, break rooms, entryways and hallways, laundry and frock rooms, all offices and conference rooms per Housekeeping SOPs within scheduled time frames.
- Dispense and stock production and housekeeping supplies.
- Ensure visitors, contractors, and temporary employees are properly attired to enter production areas per facility GMPs.
- Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment such as commercial washer and dryer, Kai Vac cleaning system, etc.
- Wash, dry, sort, match, and evaluate frocks, boots, gloves, and aprons.
- Follow all safety, quality (GMP), housekeeping SOPs, facility work rules, and company policies at all times.
- Notify Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor immediately of any injury, accident, faulty equipment, or any other problem in your area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work is generally performed within a manufacturing environment subjected to cold and warm temperatures, wearing proper PPE.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Vision: close vision to a computer screen.
- Understand and apply safety procedures through education, training, protective equipment, and adherence to safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
- 1-2 years janitorial or housekeeping experience.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
- Ability to understand written English preferred.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to changing shifts, schedules and assignments.
- High School Diploma or GED
The starting hourly rate for this position is $19.50. This role is a union role and is eligible for overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 hours in a week and may also be eligible for additional hourly premiums for perfect attendance and/or working evenings or night shifts. This role is eligible for benefits through the union and will include medical, dental, vision and retirement.

- Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role).
- Work conditions are typical of a food manufacturing facility.
- This role does not require any domestic travel.
- Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Position may require frequent and/or infrequent bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use of hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
- Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for greater than 4 hours.
