Warehouse Maintenance Technician (HVAC / Electrical Background Preferred)

Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Pay: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience
Overtime: Possible based on business needs

Position SummaryPickens Kane is seeking a reliable Warehouse Maintenance Technician with experience in HVAC, electrical troubleshooting, and general building maintenance.
This role supports the daily repair and upkeep of a large warehouse and operations facility. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, dependable, safety‑focused, and willing to learn from our experienced Facilities Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general warehouse and building maintenance
- Troubleshoot and assist with HVAC repairs
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Change light fixtures, bulbs, ballasts, drivers, switches, and related lighting components
- Safely operate or be willing to learn to operate a scissor lift
- Replace and repair ceiling tiles
- Identify, contain, and help manage water leaks
- Assist with plumbing, pumps, drains, fixtures, and basic water‑related repairs
- Maintain and repair dock doors, overhead doors, dock plates, warehouse heaters, fans, and facility equipment
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks on building systems and warehouse equipment
- Respond to maintenance requests throughout the facility
- Identify larger repair issues and report them to management
- Coordinate with outside vendors when needed
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, safe, and organized
- Follow all company safety procedures and facility rules
- Assist with emergency repairs and occasional overtime when needed
- Prior warehouse, industrial, commercial, or facilities maintenance experience
- HVAC troubleshooting experience
