Position: Lobby Attendant (PT)

About our property:
The David Rubenstein Forum is a University‑wide facility for scholarly and academic discourse on campus. It provides well‑appointed meeting and event rooms for conferences, workshops, and meetings. The building is designed to LEED Gold sustainable standards.

Responsibilities

The Lobby/Public Space Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby areas, pre‑function spaces, meeting rooms, hallways, public restrooms, employee restrooms, internal offices, building entrances, elevators, stairwells, and sidewalks.

Essential Functions
  • Required to wear PPE for all tasks.
  • Acquire daily assignments, keys, radio, and special requests at the beginning of your shift.
  • Ensure daily cleanliness of the entire lobby area: dusting, polishing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and furniture placement.
  • Perform deep cleaning of assigned areas including carpet shampooing, window washing, dusting of light fixtures, and cleaning of elevators (including tracks).
  • Polish all metal sign displays and stairway handrails.
  • Check and clean all public restrooms frequently, replacing paper supplies as needed.
  • Check, clean, and restock employee restrooms daily.
  • Remove trash and vacuum carpets in internal offices.
  • Sanitize, check, and replenish supplies and cleaning tools at the beginning and end of your shift.
  • Report all maintenance needs and special cleaning needs.
  • Return lost items to the designated lost and found area with date, location, description, and finder’s name.
  • Practice safety standards at all times and clean up spills immediately.

  • Perform other related duties as requested by management.
  • Remain alert, courteous and helpful to guests and co‑workers at all times.
  • Qualifications
    • Housekeeping experience desirable.
    • Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
    • Basic knowledge of chemicals and their uses.
    • Working knowledge of electronic devices.
    • Passion for customer service and good verbal communication skills, basic writing skills.
    • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
    Compensation

    Compensation: $20 – $20 per hour (depends on location, experience and certifications).
