  • Assist maintenance technicians with the continuous cleaning of all vents and sprinkler heads in assigned areas.
  • Inspect work‑related conditions to ensure compliance with prescribed operating and safety standards, including distinguishing whether lights are off or bulbs need replacement.
  • Use equipment and tools such as iPads, water temperature thermometers, and other tools commonly used to support facilities and related equipment, while documenting time on work orders/requests for tasks completed.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, other employees, and patients to perform tasks, coordinate work, and accumulate supplies, following verbal and written instructions.
  • Clean work areas and equipment such as breakrooms, work sites, shops, and personal tools, while learning and practicing safety regulations and precautions.
Required qualifications
  • Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to 2-4 years of facility maintenance and/or rounding experience.
  • Ability to perform manual labor indoors and outdoors for extended periods of time.
  • Physical ability to work in small, cramped areas, climb ladders or steps, and stand, kneel, or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to move debris, dirt, furniture, or other materials as needed.
  • Must pass a background investigation and drug screening due to required access to all secured buildings.
  • Knowledge of the use and care of commonly used equipment and tools for basic and semi‑skilled general maintenance repair tasks.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, demonstrating courtesy with patients, staff, fellow employees, and the general public.
Preferred qualifications
