Role OverviewThis Customer Service Engineer II position focuses on servicing Imaging Equipment in the Chicago, IL area.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary service engineer for Siemens Healthcare systems at customer sites.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on all Siemens Healthcare systems with minimal supervision.
- Deliver timely and effective repairs while training operators to ensure optimal system performance and superior customer satisfaction.
- Manage financial performance in the territory, meeting or exceeding revenue, expense, and inventory targets.
- Maintain company assets, including company car, cell phone, computer, tools, and inventory parts.
- Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, performing administrative duties accurately.
- Experience performing service, preventive maintenance, and modifications on medical imaging equipment at customer sites.
- Ability to establish and maintain business relationships with customers and peers.
- Experience testing, repairing, and maintaining capital medical equipment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient use of tools and service test equipment.
- General understanding of electricity, power supplies, and grounding principles.
- Minimum high‑school diploma; technical associate degree or equivalent preferred.
- Proficiency in tools and service test equipment and ability to work both individually and in a team.
- Proficiency with network applications and tools (eVO, mButler, MS Office, Concur, NAM Customer Service website‑Engineer Tools).
- 3+ years of experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments.
- Valid driver’s license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record.
- Physical requirements:
lifting 50 lbs, walking, ladder climbing, bending, twisting, sitting, squatting, standing, high‑reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license in the state of residence and have no DUI/DWI convictions or pending charges, unless prohibited by law.
- Must meet all vehicle safety and vendor credentialing requirements necessary to access client sites.
Base pay range: $64,060 – $88,088. Commission eligibility, if applicable, will be defined in the company plan.
