Community Consolidated School District 62 in Des Plaines, Illinois is seeking a full-time Night Custodian assigned to District 62 schools.

Job Summary:

During the school year, specific room cleaning assignments and other daily routine work are shown on a work schedule which is designed specifically for each position in each building. In addition to the regular work assignments the Night Custodian is responsible for completing other maintenance work that is assigned by the Head Custodian, the Building Principal or the Director of Maintenance and Operations.

During School Break periods such as in the Summer Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break, the work assignments are made on a daily basis or as necessary by the Head Custodian and based on a work plan that has been prepared by the Head Custodian with approval from the Director of Maintenance and Operations and Building Principal.

Hours for the Night Custodian positions are as follows:

Elementary School 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Middle School 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM

Qualifications:

* Applicants must have been awarded a high school diploma

* Applicants must be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English

* Lifting (up to eighty pounds)

* Valid Illinois Driver License

Working Conditions:

District 62 has approximately 4,900 students in grades preK-8 in 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and 1 year-around, K-8 school. This assignment will be in one elementary school in the district.

Compensation Information:

The position starting salary is $45,427 including fully paid individual health benefits.

Selection Procedure:
