Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf was founded in 2003 by Julie Rutenberg, the Director of Blossom. Starting off small with two classrooms and eight students, we have grown over the years. The dream of having an environment where Deaf, Hard of Hearing, hearing siblings and CODA’s (children of Deaf adults) can learn, socialize and grow together is now the reality we have today. Blossom Montessori is a unique school that brings everyone together, giving the same opportunities to learn and ‘blossom’.Blossom has three Montessori classrooms, grouped by age, not grade levels. The classroom sizes stay small, only going up to 10 students per room, to ensure one on one learning and an individualized curriculum for each student. |
