Diamond Truck & Trailer is a well-established truck and trailer repair company serving the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. As our shop continues to grow, we are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitorial Cleaner to help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of our facility, including the shop, restrooms, break areas, and common spaces.

The ideal candidate will have prior janitorial or custodial experience and take pride in creating a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the workplace, ensuring a positive experience for employees, customers, and visitors while supporting a professional and productive atmosphere.

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Janitorial Cleaner to perform a variety of cleaning duties to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment across assigned facilities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the overall appearance and sanitation of the workplace, contributing to a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors.

Pay: $/hour

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met
• Clean and sanitize break room areas
• Empty trash and recycling bins and waste in accordance with company policies
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly
• Perform maintenance work – replace light bulbs, unclog drains, lubricate doors, etc.
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation
• Grounds maintenance – grass cutting, bush trimming, flower bed maintenance
• Maintain sidewalks and spread de-icing materials during snow related events and assist with snow removal
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Able to lift 50 pounds and walk/stand most of the day
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to operate forklift

• Day shift - hours ranging from 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
