Project Floor Technician

ARAMARK is seeking a Project Floor Technician for Evanston Hospital to deliver high-quality floor care and environmental services on 2nd shift. In this role, you will perform routine and project work including sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain clean, safe, and attractive patient and public areas. You'll operate floor care equipment, follow healthcare infection prevention and safety standards, and respond to spills and special requests.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and project floor care including sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, and waxing
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, auto-scrubbers, and extractors safely
• Clean and sanitize assigned areas following healthcare EVS standards and infection control protocols
• Handle chemicals safely, following label directions and Aramark safety procedures
• Respond to spills, biohazards, and urgent cleaning requests promptly
• Inspect floors and surfaces, reporting maintenance or safety issues to supervisors
• Follow hospital and Aramark policies on safety, PPE, and regulatory compliance
• Work 2nd shift, coordinating with EVS team and hospital staff to minimize disruption
• Complete required logs, checklists, and documentation accurately
• Support a culture of service, teamwork, and respect with patients, staff, and visitors
