Reports to:
Custodial and Maintenance Building Lead;
Director of Buildings and Grounds
- Plumbing & Water Systems:
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, faucets, condensate lines, gas piping, ice machines, and kitchen equipment. Perform rodding and clearing of sewers as needed. - Water Coolers & Hot Water Systems:
Evaluate, repair, and program hot water systems; maintain water coolers and condensate systems. - HVAC & Condensate Systems:
Inspect, maintain, and program HVAC systems, including monitoring hot water circulation and condensate operations. - Kitchen Equipment:
Maintain and repair kitchen appliances, gas lines, and associated systems to ensure proper operation. - Field & Stadium Maintenance:
Line and maintain athletic fields; winterize the stadium and related outdoor equipment; manage snow removal and ice control for safe facility use. - Seasonal & Preventative Maintenance:
Plan and perform preventative maintenance on plumbing, gas, kitchen, and field systems; winterize equipment and facilities to prevent damage. - Inventory & Equipment Management:
Track maintenance supplies, parts, and equipment; coordinate ordering and storage. - Emergency Response:
Respond to urgent maintenance issues, including plumbing failures, HVAC problems, or field emergencies. - Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety codes, building regulations, and manufacturer guidelines for all equipment. - Enter orders via district system for building repairs and closeout when complete.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the administration.
- High school diploma or equivalent; plumbing, HVAC, or facilities certification preferred.
- Ability to evaluate, program, and repair water, gas, and condensate systems.
- Experience with winterizing equipment, snow removal, and field/stadium maintenance.
- Knowledge of safety standards and ability to work in confined or outdoor spaces.
- Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and perform hands‑on maintenance tasks.
- Basic computer skills for work orders, equipment programming, and inventory tracking.
- Combination of indoor and outdoor work in various facility areas, including kitchens, locker rooms, fields, and utility rooms.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, weather conditions, and water or chemicals.
- Occasional on‑call or emergency work may be required.
