Job Description
We are seeking a Custodial Services Worker (EVS Worker) for Glenview, IL (Glenbrook Hospital). The role involves cleaning and maintaining designated areas in compliance with Aramark and client standards. Duties include cleaning patient/resident rooms, restrooms, housekeeping equipment, and ensuring safety and security within the facility.
Employment Type: Full Time and Part-Time
Shift: 2nd Shift (Full-Time and Part-Time) and 3rd Shift (Full-Time) available
Pay Rate: $17.25 per hour + shift and weekend pay, if applicable
- Adhere to established procedures to provide a safe working environment, including OSHA and company regulations
- Perform cleaning and sanitizing of patient or resident rooms (vacuuming, dusting, bed making, stripping, hazardous waste removal) and restrooms following infection control procedures
- Accurately maintain and clean housekeeping equipment
- Clean assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements
- Follow procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transport it to designated areas
- Report maintenance concerns via work order requests
- Maintain friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, patients, and co‑workers
- Secure the facility, ensuring proper lock/unlock procedures
- Ensure security of company assets
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions
Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing. Uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
