Diesel Truck Maintenance Technicians

Position Summary

Responsible for performing preventative maintenance, special inspections, and general repairs on tractor and trailer units in accordance with DOT, federal and state regulations and company standards.

• Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers.
• Perform annual/systematic 90‑day inspection to ensure equipment meets federal FHWA standards.
• Complete HM inspections.
• Adhere to OSHA and environmental policies, including proper handling or disposal of hazardous wastes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience using inspection and test equipment for cargo tank inspections.
• Must have own tools.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

• Use arms to reach, stretch, grasp, move, or assemble objects of various sizes; use legs to stand for long periods, maneuver through shop environment, crawl, kneel, crouch, sit, and carry or relocate objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Perform broad locomotive motions, balance, reach, manipulate tools, and sustain motions for long periods without fatigue.
• Identify and focus on objects at close and distant ranges; use auditory senses to hear and isolate sounds; speak clearly in varying sound levels.
• Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

This position works in confined spaces.

$25.27 to $37.98 hourly.
