Position OverviewLead Erection Technician – senior technical leader and safety champion responsible for overseeing and executing large‑scale projects at customer locations, including ports and rail yards.
What You’ll Do- Lead & Manage:
Own the job site, coordinate assembly and installation of intermodal heavy equipment such as gantry cranes. - Technical Deep Dive:
Interpret complex electrical and hydraulic schematics to diagnose, repair, and commission sophisticated systems. - Expert Service:
Perform preventative maintenance and comprehensive inspections following OEM specifications. - Customer Champion:
Serve as primary point of contact for customer equipment requests. - Safety First:
Enforce railroad, safety, health and environmental regulations with a goal of zero incidents; obtain an E‑Rail security clearance badge.
- High school diploma or GED; 10+ years heavy equipment field experience, preferably with gantry cranes or similar machinery.
- Deep knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical assemblies; strong crane signaling experience.
- Self‑directed, detail‑oriented; ability to work independently and meet demanding deadlines.
- Physical stamina to climb, twist, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs; ability to work on ladders or scaffolding.
- Travel readiness:
Up to 70% travel to customer sites, including overnight stays.

Work involves indoor and outdoor exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery. Requires accurate hand–eye coordination, hand strength and dexterity. May lift up to 50 lbs and pull approximately 20 lbs; climb ladders or scaffolding; travel up to 70% to customer sites.
Special Requirements / Certification- Obtain an E‑Rail security clearance badge.
Hourly pay range: $40.00–$50.00. Final offer based on experience, education and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance and a 401(k) plan.
