Description

Job Overview:

As a Maintenance Technican, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional support to residents of a large community development in the Chicago suburbs.

This seasonal opportunity is available at a property in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.

Your Responsibilities:

* Maintain grounds, including sidewalks, snow removal, gutter cleaning, wood replacement, drywall, collecting trash, etc.

* Perform necessary cleaning activities, such as dusting, mopping, trash removal, etc.

* Remove snow and ice from front and rear entrances, walks, ramps, and garbage can areas as needed.

* Maintain mailroom in neat and clean order.

* Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, setting up tables and chairs for Board Meetings.

* Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems. Report damage, stains, or necessary repairs to the Community Association Manager.

* Report to manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress.

* Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.

* Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.

Skills &

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent and 1 years' previous experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.

* Ability to engage law enforcement, when necessary, to promote public safety.

* Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems

* Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools

* Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings

* Works effectively with coworkers, clients, customers, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; addresses problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.

* Must possess a high energy attitude and an ability to multi-task/prioritize different projects at any given time.

* Superior oral and written communication skills.
