What We are Looking For:Apartment Maintenance Technician at Bender Companies, Hoffman Estates.
We seek a dedicated, hands‑on professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment and has strong troubleshooting and proactive skills.
Job TypeFull‑time
Pay$25–$26 per hour
Schedule- 8 AM – 4:30 PM (hours may vary)
- Monday – Friday
- Reliable transportation
- 1+ year of experience in apartment maintenance, facilities, or residential construction
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance maintenance
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
As a Maintenance Technician, you will help maintain daily operations and overall upkeep of the community, addressing service requests and performing preventative maintenance.
Core responsibilities- Perform routine property inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactively
- Complete resident service requests and work orders promptly and professionally
- Maintain property grounds and keep common areas clean and attractive
- Support unit turnovers and make‑readies, including painting, repairs, and cleaning
- Assist in preventative maintenance to extend the life of property systems and equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies
- Deliver notices and communications to residents as directed
- Participate in an on‑call schedule for after‑hours emergencies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
