Preschool Maintenance- Part Time

Overview

Kensington School is accepting applications for a preschool maintenance position. The right candidate will have experience working for a school or similar facility.

• monthly carpet cleaning
• changing light bulbs
• fixing / assembly of toys & furniture
• painting
• monthly deep cleans of flooring (classrooms, bathrooms, kitchen)
• move furniture as needed
• light yard work, trash pick up
• perform basic plumbing
• clearing clogs, adjustments to sinks and toilets
• conduct minor electrical repairs
• changing light bulbs, outlets

• Maintenance / Custodian experience required.
• Experience in a school environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift 40lbs or more.
• Must be able to work outside in different climates.
• Willingness to learn hands on skills
• Can complete tasks in a timely manner
• Able to communicate effectively while also working independently
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

• Must be able to work evenings & weekends. Flexible schedule depending on work at hand.
• This is a year-round position with opportunities for job growth and on-site training with special projects. Yearly annual incentives.

• Must pass a state background check
• Complete a medical form/physical report
• References are required

Compensation starts at a $20 hourly rate. This position is primarily nights and weekends.

Upon hire, a probationary period working in school maintenance is required to establish knowledge of the school’s needs.
