Title: Maintenance

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
  • Such other qualifications as the Board/Superintendent may deem appropriate

    • Reports To: Director of Buildings and Grounds

    Performance Responsibilities
  • Assumes responsibility for overseeing general security and energy conservation program.
  • Keeps buildings and premises, including sidewalks, driveways and play areas free from safety hazards.
  • Makes such repairs as assigned to maintenance department.
  • Keeps an inventory of all supplies.
  • Reports immediately to principal any damage or vandalism to school property.
  • Complies with local laws and procedures for the safe storage and disposal of trash, rubbish, waste and fuel.
  • Moves furniture or equipment between buildings and makes all necessary and emergency runs within the District.
  • Responds to calls for assistance and gives aid as needed during the course of the day.
  • Maintains a regular schedule of deliveries, preventive maintenance and safety checks.
  • Models a program of energy conservation.
  • Lifts seventy-five (75) pounds on occasion as necessary, appropriate, or as directed by an administrator.
  • Maintains positive public relations with the community, staff and students.
  • Maintains a positive attitude toward job related growth and improvement.
  • Performs other such tasks as assigned by the Superintendent.

    • Terms of employment: Twelve months. Salary recommended by the Superintendent
