Warehouse Associate

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking and motivated Warehouse Associate to join our team here at Hearth & Home. In this position, you will support the store's operations by receiving shipments, processing orders, organizing inventory and general store maintenance. The ideal candidate is a team player with experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

For the right candidate, advancement into Fireplace Technician or Installation roles are possible and encouraged.

• Receive and process incoming shipments in a neat and organized fashion and inspect for damages and defects
• Pull and stage product for deliveries, service calls, and installations
• Load customer purchases
• Assemble patio furniture and BBQ grills
• Assist with deliveries
• Sweep, organize, and maintain warehouse cleanliness
• Empty store garbage, vacuum showroom and maintain restroom cleanliness

• Ability to lift and move heavy merchandise safely
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Courteous and professional demeanor with customers and co-workers
• Previous experience working in a warehouse type setting is preferred, but not required
• Ability to use warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks is a plus, but not required
• Familiarity with hand and power tools
• Ability to work with limited supervision, problem solve and think on your feet
• Current Driver’s License and good driving record
• Dependable transportation and good attendance
• High school diploma/GED is required
• Free from the influence of any prohibited substances while on company time
• Smoking and vaping is prohibited outside designated areas
