PositionSummary
CVS Health, a Fortune 4 company, has an opportunity to welcome a new member to the Pharmacy Maintenance Team in CHICAGO, IL. As an Automation Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the pharmacy's automated systems. This is a great role for someone who enjoys an organized and clean work environment, focusing on routine inspections of our specialized machines.
The person in this role will also be responsible for identifying and resolving technical issues to meet production goals as well as quality expectations. Your efforts will impact the lives of thousands of patients who rely on the critical medications that are dispensed by this facility.
- Troubleshooting and maintenance for automation robotics, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems in a sophisticated automated large volume pharmaceutical dispensing facility.
- Conduct routine inspections of machines and systems to ensure optimal performance, such as troubleshooting electromechanical control systems and supporting the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based control systems.
- Performing preventative maintenance on equipment, notifying the Manager of any concerns regarding major repairs needed or any additional equipment needed to support the pharmacy automation equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work area for all employees.
- Participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies and procedures.
Monday-Thursday 10:00pm-6:30am, and Saturday 12:00am-8:30am.
Pay Range$21.10 - $44.99 per hour. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications- Must be comfortable with physical labor including:
- Crawling under conveyor and working in confined spaces.
- Lifting 60lbs without assistance.
- Climbing ladders and industrial platforms.
- Comfortable in aerial lifts.
- Able to walk and be on feet for 90% of shift.
- Working with dirty equipment during preventative maintenance.
- 3+ years of risk assessment skills including ability to understand a process and determine how a change can affect that process.
- 3+ years of project management skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- 3+ years of performing preventative maintenance (PM) to automated manufacturing equipment and utilizing LOTO procedures.
- 3+ years of troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining automated equipment controlled by programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- 3+ years of mechanical and pneumatic repairs in an automation environment.
- 3+ years of electrical schematic, printed circuit reading, and voltmeter usage (24V - 480V).
- Experience in medical, fulfillment center, warehouse, or healthcare environments.
- Experience working with automation robots (ABB, Fanuc).
- Experience working in a regulated environment (ISO 9000, ISO 13485, FDA, pharmaceutical or medical device).
- A craft certification or other Mechatronics related certification/training.
- Experience using Manager Plus system "Work Order Dashboard"/parts management.
- Verifiable high school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required.
