Responsibilities
  • Manage daily maintenance and repairs on all building mechanical systems, equipment and tools, public areas, guest rooms and central plant.
  • Write capital for major repairs and equipment purchases.
  • Prepare budgets for yearly department expenditures.
  • Responsible for the proper scheduling of team members, ensuring a high level of guest service while maintaining control of labor costs.
  • Manage maintenance of all HVAC's, kitchen, electric, gas, and steam powered equipment, energy management equipment and operation of like safety systems throughout property.
  • Manage all outside grounds to include cleaning and maintenance.
  • Ensures consistent, high quality maintenance standards are maintained for the entire property.
  • Motivate team members in their respective areas.
  • Provide positive feedback to team members, as well as, corrective feedback for negative actions.
  • Oversee and monitors team member progress to ensure highest standards.
  • Maintain staffing levels.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.
  • Oversee the engineering parts purchasing function.
  • Responsible for ensuring ADA compliance for casino and hotel areas.
  • Responsible for maintenance and repairs to include heating, cooling, electrical, television, plumbing and telephone systems.
  • Oversee all emergency situations, i.e. power outages, alarms, etc.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Performs routine inspections and physical plant and property.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

8-10 years Facilities management experience of a large property with some supervisory.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent.

SKILLS:

Good organizational skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to perform x and intermediate math. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. General knowledge of all construction phases and local building and safety codes. Must be able to read blueprints. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air conditioning, and kitchen equipment. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment. Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well groomed manner.

Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports and responding to correspondence. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff. Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies and procedures. Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
Valid Nevada Driver's License
