We are looking for a 2nd shift Machine Maintenance Lead to join the team at our Norridge, IL location. This is a full‑time 2nd shift position (3:15pm – 11:45pm, Monday – Friday). The Norridge location is a progressive manufacturer of die castings that has been in business for 60 years. This role offers the chance to advance within the organization and earn improved compensation.
GeneralSummary
Responsible for maintenance and daily operations of casting machines, process parameters, sampling, process development and casting quality, as well as liaison between shifts.
Responsibilities- Lead and support maintenance technicians on 2nd shift in a fast‑paced die casting manufacturing environment.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical equipment up to 480 V.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Diagnose machine failures and coordinate repairs to quickly restore production.
- Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout and all safety requirements.
- Maintain, upgrade, and improve die casting equipment and related systems.
- Develop and maintain maintenance procedures and standard work practices.
- Train, coach, and support maintenance team members.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Maintain maintenance inventories and recommend replacement parts as needed.
- Communicate equipment status, repairs, and priorities effectively between shifts.
- Previous maintenance experience.
Salary
: $29.00/hr (+$1.00 differential)
