Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance
Job Overview
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring safe and proper maintenance and repair of production equipment. This role oversees the maintenance department, manages personnel, develops preventative/predictive maintenance programs, spearheads maintenance projects and coordinates with production team management.
Responsibilities- Identify and execute maintenance projects with the maintenance team.
- Maintain and update the preventative maintenance schedule.
- Report non-conformances and work to correct them.
- Issue purchase order requests for maintenance projects.
- Evaluate maintenance support staff for training needs.
- Plan and oversee repair and installation activities.
- Identify critical spare parts, monitor inventory and re-order as necessary.
- Maintain maintenance logs.
- Manage relationships with contractors and outside service providers.
- Previous maintenance management experience or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a similar field and at least 5 years of experience.
- Or successful completion of a vocational school or associate’s degree in similar fields and 7 years of experience.
- Or 10 years of experience in maintenance as a technician or mechanic.
- Induction heaters, HVAC, electric motors, fork lift repair, compressor repair, process cooling tower and dust collection.
- Electromechanical machine adjustments, motor speeds, feed rates and identification of machine problems resulting in downtime.
- Electrical troubleshooting in the absence of schematics or electrical drawings.
- Fabrication, general welding and brazing skills.
- Reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schematics, blueprints and procedure manuals.
- Strong written reporting and communication skills.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. The salary for this role is $100,000 - $125,000.
