Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Maintenance Manager
Waterway Carwash is seeking a hands-on Senior Field Maintenance Manager to lead multi-site maintenance operations within our Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management team. This role oversees reliability of wash tunnels, conveyors, pumps, and supporting mechanical/electrical systems across multiple locations. You'll plan and execute preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and supervise field technicians in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities include vendor management, budgeting, capital project support, and enforcing strong safety standards.
This position is ideal for a mechanically strong, people-oriented leader who thrives in the field and enjoys developing technicians while keeping equipment running at peak performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead field maintenance operations across multiple Waterway Carwash locations, ensuring high equipment uptime and safe, reliable site performance.
- Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for wash tunnels, pumps, conveyors, and related mechanical/electrical systems.
- Supervise, coach, and develop field technicians; provide hands-on training and technical guidance in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues; coordinate vendor and contractor support when needed.
- Manage maintenance budgets, parts inventory, and small capital projects; recommend equipment upgrades and standardization.
- Maintain strong safety culture, enforcing OSHA and company standards, lockout/tagout, and safe work practices.
- Partner with Operations and Site Managers to prioritize work, minimize downtime, and support an outstanding guest experience.
- Use CMMS or work order tools to track assets, schedule work, analyze failure trends, and drive continuous improvement.
