We are hiring a People & Culture Generalist to join Instem!The P&C Generalist will act as point of contact for all US & Canada employees, handling all employment‑related inquiries from employees, and people managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
What are you responsible for?- Provide new hire orientation and assist with employee recognition programs.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, employee recognition, morale, and training and development.
- Respond to P&C tickets in a timely fashion, providing first line advice and escalating anything more complex to other colleagues.
- Maintain compliance and submit mandatory reporting with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to ensure compliance.
- Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Prepare and maintain Employee Handbook.
- Assist with global People & Culture initiatives and administration.
- Maintain HRIS system and electronic personnel files with employee lifecycle documentation.
- Work closely with payroll to provide necessary information to process changes to ensure accurate submissions each month.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System to ensure all work is handled securely, professionally, and diligently.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally, in relevant subject or similar equivalent experience
- Thorough knowledge of employment‑related laws and regulations and HR best practices
- HR certification preferred (SHRM, PHR, etc.)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS system
- Experience with ADP a plus
