We’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented custodian to supporttheday-to-day maintenance of our
45,000-square-foot this role, you’ll playa keypartin creatinga clean,safe,and welcoming environment for theentirecommunity.
Responsibilities include performing general custodial duties; maintaining safe indoor and outdoor walkways (including snow and ice removal); identifying and assisting in resolving potential safety hazards; setting up and taking down meeting rooms for programs and events; emptying the book drop; and completing all tasks on the closing procedures checklist.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working independently, and values being part of a team that serves the community.
MINIMUMEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent; previous custodial experience preferred
PART-TIME HOURSHours:
20 hours per week; evening hours Monday - Thursday
This position includes paid benefits and participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) System.
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour (actual rate will be based on qualifications and internal equity)
