Description

Winpak Portion Packaging is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our Maintenance team based in Sauk Village, Illinois
. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented maintenance professional who enjoys building structure, improving reliability, and keeping operations running efficiently. In this position, you will play a key role in planning and coordinating maintenance work, supporting preventive maintenance efforts, and helping the team maximize equipment uptime, labor efficiency, and parts availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review maintenance work orders and ensure all relevant details are captured before work is scheduled.
  • Plan maintenance jobs by coordinating labor, materials, parts, and equipment access to reduce delays and improve execution.
  • Manage work orders within the maintenance management system, including entry, tracking, and closure.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly maintenance schedules and help facilitate weekly scheduling meetings.
  • Monitor completed work orders and compare actual results against planned work to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain equipment history, parts catalogs, and storeroom minimum and maximum inventory levels.
  • Support the integrity and effectiveness of the preventive maintenance program, including reviewing frequencies and task lists.
  • Track maintenance labor and material usage, identify trends, and provide reports and key performance indicators to leadership.
  • Partner closely with operations, project teams, and maintenance leadership to support outages, repairs, contractor activity, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with special maintenance programs, technical documentation, purchasing coverage, and time reporting support as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance planning, maintenance coordination, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage priorities, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills across teams.
  • Ability to analyze maintenance issues and support continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting preventive maintenance and reliability programs in manufacturing.
  • Experience maintaining equipment records, parts inventory, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with maintenance reporting and performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality standards in a regulated environment.
  • Full-time, 100% onsite role based in Sauk Village, IL.
  • Works closely with maintenance, operations, and project teams to support equipment reliability and maintenance execution.
  • May provide back-up support for purchasing and UKG time reporting as needed.
  • Position is based in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and active production areas.
Compensation range

The compensation range provided is a general guideline only. The pay range is $80,000- $95,000. Pay will be determined based on the candidate's experience and expertise and is subject to vary.
