Position Summary

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is seeking a Go‑Kart Mechanic to anticipate guest needs and provide a fun, safe racing experience. The role requires assisting guests, maintaining karts and tracks, and ensuring all safety guidelines are followed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome visitors with a friendly and positive greeting.
  • Project racing requirements and safety guidelines to guests.
  • Provide safe racing experiences for all guests.
  • Perform kart repairs and regular performance maintenance checks.
  • Maintain proper kart appearance and functionality.
  • Handle emergency situations as directed.
  • Conscientiously maintain, repair, and clean karts and tracks.
  • Store tools properly in locked cabinets.
  • Process guest races in the point‑of‑sale and timing systems.
  • Observe, instruct, and monitor guests for safety and guideline adherence.
  • Assist with guest recovery and notify manager to ensure positive experiences.
  • Maintain knowledge of Andretti brand, products, policies, and procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and co‑workers.
  • Be aware of and follow facility emergency procedures.
  • Perform opening, running, and closing department duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of prior guest service experience, preferably in hospitality, restaurant, or entertainment settings.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Comfortable in loud, fast‑paced environments.
  • Proficiency with point‑of‑sale systems and electronic equipment.
  • Preferred: previous experience in family entertainment centers.
Physical Requirements
  • Walk or stand for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 30 lbs. (some positions up to 50 lbs.).
  • Perform organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing, and occasional stocking.
  • Operate manual equipment with dexterity.
  • Work in environments with bright or flashing lights and loud sounds.
