Building Engineer
Full-Time | Second Shift (12:00 PM – 8:00 PM) Randolph Packing is looking for a dependable Building Engineer to help maintain and repair our facility and building systems. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, daily repairs, and supporting a safe, efficient production environment.
No prior experience required — we are willing to train the right person.
Experience using tools, performing repairs, or painting is a plus.

What You’ll DoAs a Building Engineer, you will support the day-to‑day operation and maintenance of our facility, including:
Building Systems & Preventive Maintenance- Perform routine maintenance and general building repairs
- Prioritize and complete assigned maintenance tasks efficiently
- Assist with inventory management of maintenance supplies and parts
- Inspect wiring and lighting
- Maintain emergency lighting and exit signs
- Support automatic doors
- Work with rooftop HVAC units
- Assist with refrigeration systems (NH3, Freon)
- Support in‑room evaporators, condensers, and compressors
- Assist with maintenance and monitoring
- Repair and maintain sinks (hand and tool), toilets, urinals, drains, and hose stations
- Support automatic handwashing systems
- Fabrication and basic mechanical work
- Work with AC/DC motors and general pumps
- Maintain pneumatic systems, belts, chains, bushings, and bearings
- Painting, wall patching, and floor patching
- Ability to:
- communicate clearly and professionally
- accurately report completed tasks
- collaborate within the Maintenance team and across departments
- coordinate with external vendors and technicians
- follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety standards
- follow instructions and complete tasks thoroughly
- maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- demonstrate integrity, accountability, dependability, and punctuality
- support training and teamwork within the department
- adapt to changing priorities and maintenance needs
- No prior experience required — training provided
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Painting and general repair experience is a plus
- Willingness to learn building systems and maintenance skills
- Strong attendance and reliability are essential
- Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift in a manufacturing environment
- Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly (heavier loads with assistance)
- Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces
- Manual dexterity for tools and precision work
- Good vision (with or without corrective lenses)
Pay - $20 - $25/hour based on experience and skill level
