About the Role:

The Building Engineer is an important member of the building staff, and, as such, assumes responsibility for ensuring that the interior and exterior of his/her building is neat, safe, and attractive.

Essential Functions:

Perform duties as assigned in care of building. Perform duties as assigned in care of the site. Perform duties as assigned for activities in or out of the building. Move materials and equipment as directed. Security watch. Meet daily with members of custodial staff assigned to the building. Prioritize the work and work flow of the building, subject to the direction of the Director of Buildings and Grounds or the Building Principal.

Monitor and process work orders in the Preventative Work Order system. Responsible for verifying all work completed by outside contractors by work order sign off. Check all equipment used for heating, ventilating and/or cooling of the building for proper operation. Education, Credentials and/or

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
