- Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour (USD)
- Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 4:00 PM (37.5 hours/week); overtime potential
- Travel Requirements: Travel between multiple Chicago-area branch and office locations required; mileage reimbursement provided; company van available as an option

Job SummaryThe Building Maintenance Technician will support the Corporate Real Estate & Facilities team by performing routine building inspections, identifying maintenance issues, and completing general repairs across multiple Chicago branch and office locations. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple facilities and branches, gaining exposure to a wide variety of maintenance and building systems, while collaborating closely with the Maintenance Technician Lead and Facilities Manager.

Key Responsibilities- Conducting comprehensive interior and exterior building inspections
- Inspecting lighting, emergency lighting, exit signage, flooring, carpeting, walls, baseboards, and general building conditions
- Identifying maintenance deficiencies and documenting findings through reporting processes
- Performing general building repairs and preventative maintenance activities
- Troubleshooting issues across multiple trades, including basic electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance work
- Traveling between locations to support facilities operations
- Maintaining accurate inspection and maintenance reports
- Using Microsoft Office and internal reporting tools to document work completed
- Partnering closely with the Lead Maintenance Technician and Facilities Manager to support ongoing business operations

- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and follow-up work
- Computer knowledgeable, with Microsoft proficiency and ability to easily pick up working through some simple bank programs
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel between locations
- Must own general tools for repairs

Education Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent required

Required Experience- Minimum 3 5 years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or skilled trades experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Travel between multiple branch and office locations required
- Mileage reimbursement provided for travel between locations; option to use company van if needed

Important Notes- Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to highly specialized engineering roles, such as Stationary Engineers, without hands-on general maintenance experience will be disqualified
- Candidates lacking practical multi-trade maintenance knowledge will be disqualified
