Bilingual Preschool in Midtown Manhattan

Maryel International Preschool, Midtown Manhattan:
Located on 35th Street between Park and Madison Avenues in the heart of Manhattan, Maryel International Preschool is a private, bilingual and coeducational preschool that teaches children in English and Spanish. Our program was founded in Spain, and is based on the conviction that a bilingual education affords our children numerous and proven advantages.

Bilingual English & Spanish Preschool Program:
A Spanish speaking teacher teaches the children part of the day in Spanish, and an English speaking teacher teaches the other part of the day in English.

In the toddlers class (age 2), it is very important to begin with a 90% Spanish and 10% English program because English speaking children speak their native language at home and in society.

On the other hand, Spanish speaking children need to compensate and reinforce the minority language (Spanish), which does not have the same societal reinforcement as English.

Later, in the 3 and 4 year old groups, language usage is gradually balanced until a double immersion program is reached (50% English and 50% Spanish).

Bilingual Summer Camp Program (ages 2.5-5)
Our Summer Camp is full of fun activities, exploration and learning. The camp provides an opportunity for children to enjoy the summer, for English speaking children to learn Spanish, and for Spanish speaking children to develop their language skills.
