Stage Dreams Youth Theater, Phoenix:
Stage Dreams Youth Theater is a fun, family-centered and nurturing educational theater program providing K-12 students with the opportunity to learn theatrical skills. Classes are held in convenient areas in the North West Valley of Phoenix, AZ. We provide Stage Classes, Acting lessons, Voice Training, Theater Performance classes, and more. Our programs are designed so that kids can explore and develop their theatrical talents while maintaining a well-balanced family and academic life.
Family-Centered Educational Theater Programs:
Dream Classes (K-12 Students learn a musical production)
In Dream Class, youth in grades K-12 participate in a musical production, either as a performer or a technician. Students learn by having the experience of putting together a show. All students who audition will be offered a part, or students may choose to learn technical skills. Classes meet for 2 hours once a week for 14 weeks and culminate in two performances at professional theater.
Stage Classes (Developing theater skills such as acting, singing, and dancing)
Stage Classes focus on the skills and tools that theatrical artists use and culminate in a topic specific showcase at the end of the session. These classes meet for 1 hour for 6 weeks. Courses include:
"Actor’s Toolkit" Acting Classes (6-weeks)
Youth will learn age appropriate character development skills while learning a monologue (or short speech). This class will discuss everything from vocal production to script breakdown. Each student will leave class with a new monologue or scene to add to their repertoire, which will be performed on the last day of class for family and friends.
Voice / Vocal Training Classes (6-weeks)
Vocal technique that aims to keep the growing voice safe while producing a variety of sounds will be taught in the class. Beginning with warm ups and vocal exercises then moving to songs. All students will be singing as a group and a song on their own each week.
