Summer Gardening Camps for Kids in Queens NY
Summer Program at the HSBC Children's Garden at QBG:
Located in Flushing, Queens NY, the HSBC Children’s Garden at Queens Botanical Garden provides hands-on summer gardening camps for kids ages 5-12. We aim to teach them about nature, gardens, and plants in a fun and engaging way, while they enjoy playing in this beautiful environment. We also offer spring and fall programs for young gardeners.

Hands-on Learning:
Our mission is to have the children learning by doing. All sessions combine practical gardening activities with environmental education.
Small Class Sizes:
Enrollment is limited to 25-28 children, who are then divided into 3 groups, based on their age and abilities. We allocate one supervising counselor and two or three interns to each group, so you can be assured that your child will get the individual attention they need.
Qualified Staff:
Every supervising counselor has taken training not only on the curriculum for the classes, but also on age-appropriate education.
Open Rain or Shine:
If we experience bad weather, we will simply modify our curriculum for the day so that we can stay indoors. However, we will still go outside if there is a light rain or if the weather is hot, so please ensure that your child is dressed accordingly.
Summer Gardening Camps for Kids ages 5-12:
Our summer programs for kids take place in July & August, and are held 2 days a week from 9am to 4pm. Your child can attend on Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays.
Your child is welcome to:

We offer 2-8 week summer camp programs for children ages 4-15 years. We offer round-trip, door-to-door transportation to all neighborhoods in Queens, NY. Campers will learn to swim, play sports and go on summer camp field trips. International Riding Camp

Located 90 miles Northwest of New York City, International Riding Camp is a dedicated equestrian Summer camp for girls ages 7-17 who love horses and riding. Established in 1978, our camp provides an environment in which horse lovers can experience various riding disciplines: hunt seat equitation, cross-country jumping and polo. With camp stay options from 1-10 weeks, we offer a well rounded equestrian camp program along with water skiing, tennis, swimming and arts and crafts. Our teaching techniques enable our students to experience success in graduated steps, promoting their self esteem and confidence. Since all of our campers love horses, their common interest allows them to make new friends right away.

Courses / Programs
BlueStamp Engineering (BSE) is a hands-on summer engineering program for high school students that takes place in New York City, Houston TX, and San Francisco CA. Designed by industry professionals, this 6-week program aims to to show high school students the world of engineering first-hand. Our goal is to teach how to build devices that students are passionate about and show them that creating things is a blast!Students build an individual project from concept to prototype under the supervision of an experienced engineering staff. They will complete a working prototype, full engineering documentation, and a webpage which all help showcase their abilities during college/job applications and interviews. Example projects include solar powered phones, wind turbines, advanced lighting systems, and robotics. Projects can be selected from over 100 BSE suggestions, or students can suggest their own project.
While the main focus of the program is on completing projects, it is supplemented with guest speakers, brief lectures, an entrepreneurship curriculum, and a Maker Faire exhibit where possible. These extra aspects to the program show students what a career in engineering is really like, and the diverse opportunities such a career offers.

Hills Learning is a language school that provides high-quality Mandarin Chinese classes to adults, teens and children all year-round. This summer, we are teaming up with Chess Educators to provide a unique summer camp experience for boys and girls (ages 5-12) - combine Mandarin Chinese immersion instruction with an interactive Chess program. The program takes place at Léman Manhattan Prep School, in the Financial District of NYC (close to Wall Street).Kids will participate in fun, engaging activities, and they start off the day with a morning wakeup physical activity. In the afternoon, they get engaged in playing Chess and learning fun and effective strategies. All students must sign up for 2 weeks minimum. Our Chinese language instruction is fun and effective. We follow a textbook designed specifically for children learning Chinese.
